Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care is about restoring the normal function and integrity of your spine to help your nervous system control every single organ tissue gland in your body properly so that you can live healthily, fully and abundantly.
Interference in the Nervous System
As chiropractors, we do not heal or treat specific diseases. What we do is locate subluxations and provide adjustments to the spine to relieve nerve pressure. This, in turn, makes the body a more effective self-healing organism.
Many people find that they have less pain, more energy, improved sleep and a greater sense of well-being after getting adjusted.
We use the following methods at King's Town Chiropractic Life Centre:
The Activator Adjusting Instrument is a handheld spring-loaded tool that delivers a consistent low-force, high-speed thrust.
Because it’s many times faster than adjustments delivered by hand, the body rarely tightens to resist, making adjustments comfortable and effective. The Activator is also helpful for adjusting elbows, wrists, knees and other joints of the body.
This technique is often ideal for patients of all ages and walks of life. Children love how low-force it is, and seniors can comfortably be adjusted without any pressure or twisting.
The focus of this technique is producing optimal posture and spinal alignment. As your spine assumes a more competent relationship with gravity, symptoms like pain will diminish so health can return. The protocol includes adjustments, traction and exercise.
As the technique we use most often, Diversified is a manual adjustment. It’s among the most popular chiropractic techniques used today. This hands-on approach allows us to manually adjust your spinal bones into the proper position. Diversified can be successful in helping patients of all ages and stages get back to living the life they love, naturally.
With this precise method, individual cushions or “drop pieces” that are found along the table surface support each segment of your spine until the thrust is administered. Next, each drop piece gently gives way, decreasing the amount of energy required to move a particular spinal segment.
This is a form of stretching that’s applied to stiff joints to optimize and restore range of motion, relieve pain and reduce muscle tension.
Here are some of the many conditions we see at our practice:
- Back pain
- Breathing problems
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Headaches
- Neck pain
- Posture problems
- Repetitive strain injury
- Rotator cuff
- Sciatica
